Curricular reform based on the discourse on competences is not our only option. To open the debate on reform, this option needs to be denaturalised whilst raising other discourses. If we understand European Higher Education as a market for education then the discourse on competences seems the most functional, however, if we understand it as an area of solidarity and collaboration between universities the other discourses based on practical reflection seem more pertinent. |
