Resumen	Abstract
Este trabajo comienza señalando como el buen profesor universitario ha de serlo con o sin proceso de construcción del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior. Efectúa después un recorrido por las propuestas recogidas en los documentos oficiales sobre la convergencia europea y analiza las repercusiones positivas y negativas de dichas propuestas de cara al objetivo de conseguir docentes universitarios bien formados, ilusionados y comprometidos con el aprendizaje de sus alumnos. Aparece también un balance de las oportunidades que aparecen en las declaraciones de esta pretendida Reforma de la educación superior, así como de sus olvidos y de los recelos que suscitan al autor.	This work starts by indicating that a good university teacher is such irrespective of the process of construction of convergent European Higher Education. This is followed by a look at the offers gathered in the official documents on European convergence and analyses the positive and negative repercussions of the above mentioned offers with a view to obtaining well educated enthusiastic university teachers commited to the pupils learning. A balance of the opportunities that appear in the declarations of this claimed Reform of Higher Education is also included as well as its omissions and the authors apprehension.
