Incorporating evaluation process in peace education (P.E.) can improve the practice and question the traditional evaluation. It is very important to integrate instructional strategies and evaluation. The purpose of this evaluation is mainly formative and include contexts, programs, process and outcomes. The evaluation of P.E. focuses on violence situations in the classroom and the school (just community). Its criteria are: negotiation, dialogue and students participation. It is recommended the utilization of multiple data sources (formal and informal) and a variety of strategies (self-assessment, direct observation, checklist, team problem solving, conflict resolution...). A system of indicators is suggested. |
