Introducción en España de nuevas corrientes pedagógicas para la educación de párvulos durante el primer tercio del siglo XX

Resumen Abstract

  • Durante el primer tercio del siglo XX asistimos en España a un importante movimiento de renovación educativa, que en el presente artículo, se comenta desde la perspectiva específica de la educación preescolar. La educación de los párvulos en nuestro país recibe un importante impulso durante esa época, a través de la importanción y adaptación de principios pedagógicos y metodologías que se estaban aplicando en el extranjero. Los principios educativos de actividad, juego, contacto con la naturaleza, etc. llegaron a conocerse y difundirse mediante dos vías principales: el Movimiento Renovador de Cataluña, y más concretamente de Barcelona, y la aportación realizada por los becados de la Junta de Ampliación de Estudios. Gracias a esto las nuevas metodologías creadas para la educación preescolar, sobre todo las de Froebel y Montessori, se difundieron entre el profesorado español, en beneficio de los niños que en aquellos años comenzaban a asistir al colegio.

 During the first third part of twentieth century, we assist in Spain to an important movement of educative renovation that, in this article, is commented from the perspective of the education before school. The education of the child at the nursery school recieves in our country a great impulse during this age, through the importing and learning of pedagogic ideas and methods that were used in other countries. The educative bases of activity contact with the nature, etc. were known and expanded by two main ways: the Renew Movement at Cataluña, specially at Barcelona; and the work made by some of the pupils with a scholarship of the Council to Extend the Studies. With this help, the new methods made to the education at the nursery school by Froebel and Montessori were known by the spanish teachers, and it resulted a great benefit for children that were starting school in those years.
